While the purchase of a home can be one of the most exciting times in your life, it can also be one of the most stressful and confusing. Where do you go? What is the process? Who can you trust to be working with your best interest in mind?

As a qualified mortgage professional, my job is to work with your best interest in mind and eliminate the stress and confusion from the home buying process. My Bio

I am a graduate of Trent University (BSc.) and Queen's University (MA). I have over 26 years of experience in the home financing, development and housing industry. I was formerly the Vice-President of a prominent local building and development company and have been a licensed mortgage broker with The Mortgage Professionals for the past 10 years. During that time, I have helped hundreds of satisfied customers attain their goal of home ownership. Let me put my experience to work assisting you.


Mortgage Professional Services

Pre-Approvals: If you are thinking about purchasing a home, I can obtain a pre-aproval for you and guarantee your interest rate for 120 days. If you think you may not qualify or are not quite ready we can set up a plan to get you into home ownership sooner than you think.
 
Purchasing: If you have purchased a home, I can search the market for the best mortgage solution for you. Even if you have already been pre-approved at your bank, I can often find a better interest rate for you.
 
100% Financing: There are several programs available for "100% financing". CMHC now allows you to borrow the down payment and GENWORTH permits the lender to give you cash back which then forms the down payment. With either program you must have good credit and stable jobs.
 
New Construction: Construction mortgages involving progress advances can be tricky and every situation is somewhat unique. Many lenders, including some major banks, don't even offer this type of financing. We work closely with the ones that do and can offer the most competitive rates in the market.
 
Cottage Financing: I now have access to 95% financing for a cottage purchase. It can be water access and does not need a well or septic. There are some criteria for the dwelling and I can provide you with a list of these. ...more
 
Student Rentals: There are several options available for financing a student rental. If one of the students is a family member then you can finance 90 or 95% of the purchase price. Some conditions apply. ...more

Renewing: Did you know that you can "switch" your mortgage to another financial institution at renewal time at no cost to you? I can book an interest rate with another lender 120 days prior to your maturity date. This is very important when interest rates are increasing. ...more
 
Refinancing: If you are thinking about taking advantage of the equity in your home and refinancing to pay out some debts, renovate or purchase another property, a new mortgage at today's low rates often has little impact in your current payments and can save you thousands in interest on credit cards and higher rate loans. You can finance up to 95% of the value of your home for any purpose. ...more
 
Self-employed Borrower: If you are self employed with good credit and have 5% down from your own resources then we may be able to finance a purchase at prime rates with no need to prove income. You just need to prove at least 2 years of self-employment and no income tax arrears.
